The Arena is a multifunctional sport-entertainment hall which can accommodate over a 15,000 spectators during a volleyball match. The participants of this year’s edition are the same as year ago, so we can promise extraordinary sports emotions.

Let us remind you that for all four teams the games in Kraków will be the last test before the
most important tournament of the season, which for sure will be world championships in Italy
and Bulgaria.

For the first six years the tournament took place in Urania hall in Olsztyn. Later the competition was held in many other places like: Atlas Arena in Łódź, Łuczniczka hall in Bydgoszcz, Spodek in Katowice or the MOSiR Hall in Zielona Góra. It will be the fourth time when this prestigious tournament takes place in Krakow.

The first time it was in 2014 – the teams of Russia, Bulgaria, China and of course Poland took part in the competition. It was the last test before the world championships and the Polish national team placed in the second position, just behind the Russians. In 2015, the competition moved to Toruń, but the next two editions returned to the TAURON Arena Krakow.

Last year Polish national team triumphed in Krakow and just behind them on the podium was France. Will this year our team with the new coach Vital Heynen repeat their achievement and win this most prestigious friendly volleyball tournament in Europe? We will find out soon.
